DJ Unicode: The introduction

Committee May 25, 2020

DJ Unicode is a community from Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering which was established in 2017. It is an organization of students, by students, for students. Our members are young developers with a passion to develop and create path breaking solutions to problems faced by the society.

This community was the brainchild of 5 friends from the Computer Engineering Batch of 2017–18: Avais Pagarkar, Dhruvesh Mehta, Gitika Daswani, Rudresh Panchal and Swapneel Mehta.

In the words of Swapneel Mehta,

“Classroom teaching cannot provide the complete skill-set required to excel in an ever-changing field like tech. On the flip side, getting an internship and dealing with work alongside studies isn’t easy for everyone given personal challenges. Unicode was started as an amalgam of a summer-of-code program and a coding boot camp, with senior year students and alumni mentoring their juniors and peers building open-source solutions for real-life challenges in college.

We’ve come a long way in a very short time with alumni all over the world and we’re very excited to showcase our work! Check out all the current and past projects being developed by our bright mentees at djunicode.in.”

Watch out this space for a myriad of articles ranging from tech to everyday guides by the members of DJ Unicode!
